How does Tear Trough treatment work?
The tear trough treatment procedure begins with a consultation with our experienced and qualified Medical Practitioner. During the consultation she will discuss your goals, expectations, and medical history and work with you on creating your personalised treatment journey. Our Medical Practitioner, Arvin, is known for achieving natural results.
Your treatment will start with making sure the under eye area is cleansed. At this point a topical numbing cream is applied to minimise any discomfort during your treatment, this is left on for at least 20 minutes.
What are the benefits of Tear Trough treatment?
There are a number of benefits to having tear trough treatment. Some of the key benefits are-
- Reduced under eye hollows – This is one of the main contributors to tired looking eyes. Restoring the volume in this area will provide a more refreshed look.

Is Tear Trough (Hollow under eye) treatment painful?
We understand many patients are anxious prior to treatment especially around the eye area. To ensure our patients are as comfortable as possible a topical numbing cream is applied beforehand. This is used to help minimise any pain or discomfort. Additionally, our filler formulations contains a local anaesthetic to further reduce discomfort during the injection process. Most patients experience minimal discomfort during the procedure.

How long do Tear Trough fillers last?
The duration that tear trough fillers last for is dependant on several factors such as the filler used, personal metabolism and lifestyle factors. On average they last around 6-12 months, however additional top-up treatments may be needed to maintain results. Overtime the Hyaluronic Acid in the filler gradually breaks down and is naturally absorbed by the body.
Aftercare
Whilst tear trough filler is minimally invasive, you may experience some swelling and bruising after treatment. This usually subsides within 48 hours. During this time we would advise not to wear makeup and avoiding touching the area.
After all treatments we encourage our patients to book in for a treatment review, this is typically 2 weeks after treatment. This allows Arvin to assess the area that was treated and offer a top-up if necessary.
