Vivace, also known as RF microneedling, is an advanced cosmetic procedure that uses a combination of radio frequency and microneedling. It aims to rejuvenate the skin, improve texture and tone and stimulate collagen production. It is especially useful for skin tightening, body tightening, stretch mark removal and scar reduction. Read on to find our treatment guide to Vivace RF Microneedling.

At Revitalise Skincare Clinic we use the Vivace device for all our RF Microneedling procedures. Vivace is the newest generation of radio frequency and microneedling, and it is FDA cleared for your safety. When the pins of this device enter the skin, they transmit radio frequency energy through multiple layers of the skin. Through this process, the skin receives both a controlled physical injury plus the added effect of heat. This dual effect in multiple layers of the skin creates dramatic collagen production and skin tightening.

What are the benefits of Vivace RF microneedling?

At Revitalise Skincare Clinic, we find that the Vivace RF Microneedling treatment has a wide range of benefits to the skin, which include:

  • Improvement in skin tone and texture
  • Reduction in fine lines and wrinkles
  • Minimisation of acne scars and other skin imperfections, including the reduction of pore size
  • Tightening of loose and sagging skin
  • Skin rejuvenation
  • Enhancement of skin appearance
  • Treatment has minimal downtime – most patients can go about their normal daily activities shortly afterwards
  • Suitable for most skin types including tanned or dark skin tones
  • Minimally invasive

We advise treating the face, neck and décolletage all at the same time because these areas are exposed to the elements and are quickest to age. We offer a course of treatment that includes all 3 of these areas.

What is The Difference Between Vivace and Other Microneedling Devices?

Vivace and other microneedling devices share the common goal of skin rejuvenation through the induction of controlled micro-injuries to stimulate collagen production and improve overall skin texture. However, there are several key differences that set Vivace apart from other microneedling devices, making it a popular choice for many individuals seeking non-surgical cosmetic treatments. The epidermis is very prone to pigmentation problems if not protected. Knowing this, we prefer RF microneedling to laser treatments as it uses coated needles to protect the top layer of the skin.
Precision and Control:
Vivace utilises the latest technology to control the depth, speed, and angle of the microneedles with exceptional precision. This level of control allows for customised treatment settings tailored to each patient’s unique skin concerns, ensuring optimal results with minimal discomfort and downtime.
Combination Therapy:
In addition to traditional microneedling, Vivace incorporates radiofrequency energy into the treatment process. This combination of microneedling and radio frequency energy delivery allows for deeper penetration into the skin’s layers, targeting multiple skin concerns simultaneously, including fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, and skin laxity.

Comfort and Safety:

Vivace features a state-of-the-art design with insulated needles that minimise discomfort and reduce the risk of post-treatment side effects such as redness, swelling, or bruising. The device also includes a built-in cooling system that keeps the skin surface cool during treatment, enhancing patient comfort and safety.

Versatility:

Vivace is suitable for use on various areas of the body, including the face, neck, décolletage, and hands, making it a versatile treatment option for addressing a wide range of skin concerns. Whether targeting specific problem areas or achieving overall skin rejuvenation, Vivace can be customized to meet individual patient needs.

Results and Longevity:

Many of our patients report noticeable improvements in skin texture, tone, and firmness after a series of Vivace treatments. The stimulation of collagen and elastin production leads to gradual, natural-looking results that continue to improve over time, with optimal outcomes typically achieved several weeks to months after the initial treatment series.

Is Vivace treatment painful?

Vivace microneedling is generally well-tolerated by most individuals, with minimal discomfort compared to other microneedling procedures. Our microneedling utilizes fine needles that create controlled micro-injuries in the skin’s surface to stimulate collagen production and improve overall skin texture. The device incorporates a built-in cooling system that helps to keep the skin surface cool during treatment, reducing discomfort and enhancing patient comfort.

The majority of patients describe a feeling of light pressure with an occasional warming feeling, other patients report a feeling of minor prickling. Prior to Vivace treatment at Revitalise Skincare Clinic we apply a topical numbing cream that is left on for atleast 30 minutes to ensure the procedure is as comfortable as possible.

How many Vivace treatments will I need?

We usually recommend a course of 4 treatments, spaced 4-6 weeks apart to provide optimal results. Maintenance treatments may be recommended after your course of treatment to maintain results. The collagen and elastin produced during Vivace treatments continues to accelerate in the skin for up to 6 months after treatment, meaning your skin will continue to get better over time.

It is essential to consult with a qualified skincare professional, like our staff at Revitalise Skincare Clinic, to determine if RF microneedling is suitable for your skin type and skin concerns. We only use medically trained staff at our award-winning aesthetic skincare clinic to ensure you are in the best hands. We will assess your individual needs and recommend the most appropriate treatment plan to achieve your desired results.
