The HydraFacial consists of the following 6 steps:
- Detox. This step is going to increase lymphatic circulation in your skin. Better lymphatic circulation not only helps move out toxins but also increases blood flow, providing extra oxygen to invigorate the skin. The skin is hydrated and supported by fresh lymph, restoring tone and firmness.
- Cleansing and Exfoliation. A vacuum-based abrasion tip will gently smooth away dead skin cells while delivering serum directly to the fresh new skin beneath. This serum is brimming with ingredients to revitalise and support your skin, such as lactic acid, glucosamine, antioxidants, and botanical extracts, all of which are customised to treat your skin’s needs.
- Brightening Agent. Now that pore-blocking old skin cells have been swept away, a glycolic and salicylic solution is applied to gently break up congestion in the pores. This will brighten your skin and at the same time prep the pores for the next step.
- Extraction. Unlike many facials, the extraction process is very gentle. Salicylic acid and honey are used to draw out blackheads and other impurities. This is an important step to ensure your pores are clean and able to benefit from the tightening effects of the treatment.
- Hydration. Now that your pores are clear and dead skin cells have been removed, your fresh new skin is ready to be treated. This step nourishes your skin and drenches it in moisture, with a mix of potent antioxidants, hyaluronic acid, and peptides and multi-peptides to support collagen. This step will leave your skin soft and plump with moisture, combating the appearance of wrinkles.
- Rejuvenation. LED light therapy. This will soothe your skin, reducing redness, and stimulate the production of collagen. It even helps your skin naturally produce vitamin D. You will be left with skin that feels soft, smooth, and invigorated.

Gunk & Glow
This blog is all about the ‘Gunk’ that comes out of your skin during the HydraFacial. You can find out more about this treatment from Revitalise Skincare Clinic here. It really is surprising what our skin holds, and even though it might be gross, it’s oddly satisfying, right?! Every time you have a HydraFacial, you can see the good it’s done by looking at the ‘gunk’ that’s come out of your skin and collected in the waste tank. It’s one of the most captivating aspects of the treatment! Our patients always like to see a visible response on their skin after treatment, whether that is erythema from stimulating collagen or fresh ‘glowy’ skin post peel procedures. However, with the Hydrafacial there is zero downtime just radiant, gunk-free skin!
What is the Gunk?
This is what is collected in the waste tank from performing all 6 aspects of the HydraFacial. All the serums and active ingredients we apply to the skin are clear, therefore any thing that comes through the pipe into the waste tank, is purely what is coming out of your skin. Most of the time when we see the ‘gunk’ it is dead skin cells, dirt and debris that have built up and leave skin looking dull and lax. So why not book your HydraFacial treatment today to see the ‘Gunk and Glow’ for yourself? Improve the look and health of your complexion
How is the HydraFacial treatment different from a typical facial?
Unlike a traditional facial, which typically involves manual extractions and exfoliation, a HydraFacial uses vortex technology to deliver serums to the skin. This means that a HydraFacial treatment is generally gentler on the skin, and it can be more effective at addressing specific skin issues. Additionally, a HydraFacial can be adjusted to address your individual concerns and goals, making it a highly customisable treatment.
What are the types of HydraFacial treatments?
There are two main types of HydraFacials: Signature and Platinum.
Signature
The Signature HydraFacial is a 30-minute treatment that provides a thorough cleanse, exfoliation, extraction, and hydration. This option is ideal for those who are new to HydraFacials or simply want a quick and effective treatment.
Platinum (HydraFacial treatment)
The Platinum HydraFacial is the most comprehensive option, offering the epitome of luxury skincare. This 60-minute facial includes a six-step experience featuring the rejuvenating effects of LED light therapy, lymphatic drainage, and specially curated boosters. It leaves your complexion revitalised and glowing, creating an unforgettable impression.
